We Heard Frank’s Song       by Valx

  •
  • Frank was a kind man
  • He never yelled and seldom got mad
  • While he did fall down a lot
  • That never stopped him, or made him sad
  • The angels must have been there to cushion his falls
  • The angels must have known
  • Miracles happen, Frank never broke a bone.
  • Frank was a wise man
  • How else could he have lived so long?
  • Was it because he loved to watch sports
  • Baseball, football and Tiger Woods
  • Or was it because he enjoyed catching fish
  • Out on a boat or sitting quietly on the bank
  • If there were fish in the water, the fish would find Frank.
  • Why did Frank have so many gracious friends?
  • Friends of high character, benevolent givers not takers
  • Was it because he treated them warmly with heart
  • Or was it because he made friendship an art
  • He surely knew how to make his friends feel proud
  • He knew when to smile and when to laugh
  • Frank helped his friends stay on the right path.
  • Why did Frank push his cart for miles?
  • To collect cans and bottles and friends
  • Frank’s eternal love of Lillian is strong
  • While teaching his family right from wrong
  • He was larger than life his spirit a glow
  • With tears on our cheeks, it’s okay to sob
  • We all did look up at him
  • Frank was tall as his fishing buddy Rob.
  • It’s not easy to let Frank go
  • Up into heaven with his fishing pole
  • I wish he didn’t have to leave us this way
  • Yet I’m sure he’s happy now fishing with Kay
  • As they cast out hook, line and sinker
  • Into the clouds of our Lord and over the sky so blue
  • Frank, please know you are loved
  • And know, we will always miss you…
